As our event Marketing Assistant, we will assist you in continuing to flourish in your career in event marketing across our national events.
We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our super friendly events team in Dartford. You get to work with our fabulous publishers and editors and bring your skills to devise and implement marketing campaigns across the MA Business division of Mark Allen Group.
This is your chance to grow with us as MA Business continues with its plan of launching and acquiring more quality events in the UK. You'll earn a salary range of £22,000 - £25,000 plus some excellent benefits.

This portfolio delivers a range of market-leading events across a range of sectors, primarily in engineering and the built environment.

To give you an idea of how this marketing role would look and feel, here are some of the things you can expect to do in this important support role helping to coordinate key elements of the event management process:
Social media strategy – this will be the main focus of the role, creating both organic content to push out promoting all of our events as well as running paid-for ad campaigns that target the most relevant audience whilst optimising the marketing ROI. You will also be responsible for optimising these campaigns and analysing their effectiveness.
Assisting with the execution of large email marketing campaigns (set up, copywriting and data work)
Updating & managing website content
Creating graphics for use on websites, email campaigns, social media etc, ensuring the branding is consistent
Liaising with the event team to produce compelling copy and content for all channels and campaigns
Assisting with the design concept of promotional materials & proof-reading
Liaising with exhibitors, delegates and speakers prior to events
Establishing relationships and fulfilling marketing agreements with industry-specific media and association partners
Attending events as part of the on-site management team
Social media marketing, digital marketing techniques, SEO, PPC, analytics
Experience using an email marketing management system
Experience using Adobe InDesign, Canva, paint.net or similar
Good level of IT literacy (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Attention to detail
Copywriting, editing and proof-reading
An eye for effective design and creative flair
Technologically and commercially aware
Organised and methodical approach
Ability to work calmly under pressure and meet deadlines
Strong analytical skills
