We are looking for an organised and proactive Operations Manager with experience in the operational delivery of large-scale exhibitions and events to grow with MA Exhibitions, part of the Mark Allen Group.

To give you an idea of how this Operations Manager role would look and feel, here are some of the things you can expect:
You'll work closely with the wider departments in the business to successfully deliver events and conferences, ensuring all events are delivered effectively, efficiently, and within budget taking full ownership of your event
You love being customer-focused, you're proactive, patient and calm whilst under pressure and you must be able to adapt quickly and flexibly to changes.
You’ll be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and should be a confident team player with a creative and innovative approach when it comes to handling issues and troubleshooting any problems pre-planning stage or onsite
You'll run the smooth operational delivery of events (including hybrid) from conception to completion
Produce overall cost expectations for new/possible conferences from timelines, venues, staffing, legal obligations, and contractors
Research suitable conference and social event venues and negotiate and execute partner agreements and venue contracts
Liaise with external contractors and sponsors
Conduct pre-and post-event evaluations with team members, reporting on the outcomes • Coordinate event team travel and accommodation per event • Sponsor/exhibitor manual creation • Sponsor/exhibitor operational contact for queries and orders • Virtual Platform event creation and population • Floorplans management • Adhering to Health & Safety regulations and writing Risk Assessments • Post-event reconciliation, evaluation and reporting

We are offering flexible working, a hybrid model. We are working in the office 2 days a week (if you want to work from the office for more than 2 days you are most welcome) For the first couple of weeks, you will be office-based so we can ensure we’re on hand to answer any questions you might have.
