HEAD OF PROJECTS
Mark Allen is a forward-thinking, inclusive media company celebrating yet another record year of success, this is a rare opportunity for a senior-level manager with excellent project management skills to lead MA Healthcare’s Projects Department.
You will use your communication and organisational skills to work with internal and external stakeholders in the development of high-quality scientific projects (consensus documents, case-series supplements, evidence reviews, medical conferences and webinars, among others).
We offer continuous learning and development, hybrid working, and a salary of up to £50,000 plus benefits.
This is a maternity cover contract.
As Head of Projects, your key responsibilities will be to:
Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of 50+ medical-education projects
Lead a team of six editors and project managers
Liaise with internal (sales, marketing, design, production, editorial) and external (pharmaceutical companies, healthcare professionals, wound-care associations) stakeholders, to ensure all content is delivered to schedule
Maintain frequent contact with clients, guiding them through the publishing process
Work closely with the Managing Director and Publisher Director to ensure all projects are produced to the highest quality standard
Assist in the development of briefs and proposals for potential projects
Ensure projects on the Monday.com platform are updated on a daily basis
Attend meetings with potential clients, such as device manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies
Produce monthly reports for MA Healthcare’s Management Board
Attend national and international conferences
Keep track of costs, to ensure projects are delivered to budget
You will thrive in this role if you have previous
Strong project management experience in publishing
Previous experience in medical education (desired)
Outstanding communication, organisational and time-management skills
Ability to take and give direction on projects
Proactive, adaptable and able to work in a family-owned business environment

How are we working at the moment...
We have a hybrid working in place, our healthcare team are working in the office 2 days a week which are Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If you want to work from the office for more than 2 days you are most welcome. You have the opportunity to work 3 days remotely.
