SALES EXECUTIVE

Are you a successful salesperson with a minimum of a year’s experience who enjoys building new relationships on the phone?

Do you have the telesales skills that can boost our aviation conferences business with events from Punta Cana to Lisbon?

Ground Handling International is a successful part of the Mark Allen Group, a leading B2B media company that organises more than 200 events annually, from small, highly focussed seminars to large-scale events.

Salary range £26,000 - £30,000 + a generous commission scheme

What will I be doing?

• This is a new business focussed and telesales-led role with responsibility for selling delegate places at GHI’s portfolio of international conferences.
• You will be phoning targeted delegate leads and using your sales skills to persuade them to join our conferences.
• You will be upselling to existing delegates and convincing them to bring additional team members
• International travel will be required with attendance at some GHI Conferences required.
• Using your initiative to develop a sales pipeline, using our database, magazine, social platforms and collaborating with our Conferences Team.

Key responsibilities:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be making a lot of phone calls, so confidence when cold calling and the ability to pitch effectively.
• The desire to really get to know market trends, target customer profiles and use this insight to independently identify new business leads.
• Resilience, a committed/enthusiastic attitude: the determination and energy to make the next call even after a setback.
• Results & quality driven: a proven ability to achieve both sales targets and have demonstrated high levels of client satisfaction within the sales cycle.
• Builds rapport quickly within the internal team and with clients.
• Contact targeted companies to attract delegates to our events by making quality phone calls and reaching out via social media platforms.

How are we working at the moment.....

We are offering flexible working, a hybrid model. We are working in the office 2 days a week (if you want to work from the office for more than 2 days you are most welcome) You have the opportunity to work 3 days remotely.
