HEAD OF SOCIAL MEDIA
Farming’s biggest brand, Farmers Weekly is looking for a head of social media who can maximise the impact of our content across all our products and platforms to excite our readers, delight our customers and help us grow our online audience.

This role comes with a salary of up to £45,000, plus multiple benefits.
We're offering hybrid working, with two days a week working from our office in Sutton, Greater London.
To give you an idea of how our head of social media role would look and feel, here are some of the things you can expect to do...
With help from the team, you’ll be promoting daily editorial stories, sourcing and maximising great UGC as well as creating original content and posting on our channels.
On the commercial side, you’ll support the advertising and marketing teams to deliver sponsored content and advertising via our social media channels on behalf of our customers
What will you be doing?
- Setting and driving a social media strategy, including establishing an ‘FW tone’ for the brand
- Supporting advertising and marketing by devising and managing campaigns for commercial projects/events
- Creating and promoting exclusive content for FW’s social media platforms from journalists and our audience
- Overseeing daily feed curation – planning and scheduling editorial and commercial posts, writing sells and adding relevant hashtags and handles
- Monitoring post comments and social inboxes – encouraging lively discussion, interaction with the team and responding appropriately to trolls
- Supporting the editorial team to help extend their content to digital platforms and create a “virtuous circle” driving readers online and online users to print
- Supporting the development of wider digital strategies where necessary
- Covering live events on social media
- Researching and following key social media trends
- Providing reports and analytics back to the team
