BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Electric & Hybrid Rail Technology 

Mark Allen is a forward-thinking, inclusive media company celebrating yet another year of success and we're excited to be looking for a Business Development Manager to join our sales team across our portfolio in the electric and hybrid rail technology sector selling advertising solutions and further extensions of the brand.

We offer continuous learning and development, hybrid working, and a salary of up to £33,000 (DOE) plus circa £25,000 OTE in year one.

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the future of electric and hybrid technology and is confident in bringing in new business via all mediums. If you have previously experience in media sales this is advantageous. 

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong interest in the future of electric and hybrid technology
• A proven track record of success in business development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Research and discover new industry contacts and potential customers building relationships within the industry.
• Contact key decision-makers to introduce and sell advertising solutions our publication can provide as well as our exciting forthcoming event
• Be the face of the brand by attending industry events proudly representing your portfolio.
• Help direct publication content, working with the editor to ensure we have great features for our international audience.
• Work with the event manager to ensure we create a show that is an attractive proposition to your prospective customers

How are we working at the moment?

We are offering hybrid working and are currently working in the office 2 days a week (if you want to work from the office for more than 2 days you are most welcome) as of 11th September we will be working 3 days in the office.
