With 550 talented individuals across 7 offices, we’re recruiting an Event Operations Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our Ground Handling International (GHI) team in Dartford and help us on our 25-year mission to connect the industry that connects the world.
This Event Operations Manager role is a hybrid position with three days in-office at our Dartford location. The salary is £35,000 (DOE). This is a fixed-term contract, starting on 6th January, with interviews taking place in November.
Ground Handling International (GHI), part of Mark Allen Group, prides itself on delivering premium, networking-led conferences for the aviation industry. We are looking for a high-performing, customer-focused Event Operations Manager, to ensure outstanding experiences for our exhibitors and delegates at conferences in Vietnam, Orlando, and Cape Town next year.

What We Can Offer You:
- Supportive Work Environment: Be the primary point of contact for all exhibitors, delivering a high level of customer service while addressing enquiries, concerns, and requests. You’ll oversee the full operational delivery of conference exhibitions, from the point of booking to delivering the exhibitor manual and overseeing stand builds, ensuring contractors, and ensuring all events meet high standards.
- International Travel: Help us deliver outstanding customer experiences as a brand ambassador at our global conferences in SE Asia and the Americas.

What We Ask In Return:
- Collaboration: This role requires working across multiple departments. You’ll work closely with marketing, operations, and sales teams to manage technical and logistical aspects of exhibitions, ensuring exhibitor needs are fulfilled. You’ll also manage floorplans in collaboration with the sales and wider operations team.
- Experience: At least 3 years in a similar role. You will need to manage the full life cycle of exhibitions, including exhibitor manuals, and be the primary point of contact for exhibitor enquires
- IT Skills: Proficiency with floorplan software, Excel, Outlook, and CMS systems.
- Skills: Strong communication, project management, problem-solving abilities, commercial awareness, and attention to detail. You’ll also be responsible for supervising the build and breakdown of the exhibition and feature areas, ensuring all exhibitor orders are delivered correctly.
- Teamwork: The ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and exhibitors, and provide onsite support with a high level of customer service.
